 The Open Day is scheduled for the 4th and 5th December 2021 with a fall back to 11th and 12th December 2021 in case of bad weather. Activities shall include static and flying displays in which all categories of model RC flying are invited to take part.
Flying displays will include Scale, Free Style, 3D, Turbine, Aerobatic, Gliders/Thermal, Basic Beginners models, Helicopters, and Quads Vouchers of €50 and 2x €25 Euros will be drawn amongst participants. Start polishing your models ! - THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO A LATER DATE DUE TO BAD WEATHER ON PLANNED DATES  The calendar of events for 2020 has been finalized.  Join us for a weekend full of model flying and activity while we celebrate the association's 70th anniversary! This event will be held on Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th June 2019.
Members are urged to bring their models and hopefully enjoy good weather together. On Saturday night a BBQ on site will be held with free wine provided. Concurs de Elegance will be held during the weekend between the models present on site. Public is welcome to join on both days and is welcome to vote on best on show model. The Association will be participating in an activity organized by the Smart City administration. The official name of this activity is SCALE MODEL ISLAND @ SMART CITY and the dates are 1st and 2nd June (Saturday and Sunday). This is a static display and no flying will be permitted. The Committee sees this a good opportunity to promote our hobby in general.
The preparation and setup shall take place on Friday 31st May. SCM will advise Security to give access to members to have their cars enter up to the Laguna Suite for loading and unloading only. Opening/Closing times are Saturday from 10:00 to 20:00 hours ; Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00 hours. Dismantle on Sunday evening and Monday all day. Entrance will be free of charge. Kindly register your interest to participate by dropping a line to [email protected] not later than the 10th May. Space may be limited. Applications may be accepted on a first come first served basis.  With Summer once again at its full force its time for our annual BBQ. This event is due to be held on Saturday 5th August.  The Open Day is now scheduled for Saturday 19 November. It’s a one day event incorporating all types of model aircraft during which all members are expected to take part by bringing up their models, flying or at least turning up as a supporter. As in previous years, this event will include fund raising activities in favour of the Malta Community Chest Fund. All members are urged to donate generously towards this noble fund whose beneficiaries are Maltese citizens hit by the most severe illnesses and disasters. Further details and programme to be issued via a mail shot to members.
